HOW TO FEEL OKAY

I don't know how many people feel bad about themselves, about others, about everything. But if you are a pessimistic like I am this should strike a chord with you.
Found this post somewhere. Didn't know its actual source otherwise would have loved to give credits!

"Leave yourself alone for a minute. Lie down on your bed or couch or patch of grass or whatever and stretch your arms out as far as they can go. Reach out with your fingers, palms down, and absorb the underlying solidity of your surface. Feel your cells settle and feel still and grounded. Don’t move until you’re ready.
Take the time to notice things. Take the time to really look at things. Develop a relationship with the things in your periphery and consider where you are in relation to them. Notice how changing small things makes you feel. Notice how motion in general makes you feel. Think of your body as a constantly moving object and sit with how unreal that is.

Listen to music that gets you, songs that seem to have been written specifically for you. Read books that have the capacity to do more for your well-being than multivitamins or therapy. Don’t think about the fact that it’s just a happy accident that a certain song relates directly to your life, or a certain book seems like it was written by your omnipresent best friend. Listen to it, read it, let your heart fill with it and feel immersed and safe.

Listen to someone else. Just sit there and let them talk it out. Absorb their words and consider them, really think them through. Don’t interject or try to steer the conversation back around to yourself or your own problems or anything, just listen. Make the conscious effort to understand another human being. It’s harder than it sounds but it will change you.

Say what you want to say. If you want to say no to something, say no to it and see what happens. If you want to say yes to something, say yes to it and see what happens. Take note of the magnitude of the actual result of saying no or yes in comparison with your initial expectation of the magnitude. It’s probably not as serious as you thought. The world is probably still happening.

Acknowledge that not absolutely everything sucks. Yes, there are about a hundred things wrong at the moment, but there are probably also a hundred other things that are not wrong. In fact, regardless of how minuscule, some things are probably going right. It’s not about not allowing yourself to feel like shit because you live in the first world and have a microwave or rich dad or whatever, it’s about a healthy dose of perspective. Go easy on yourself.

Shut your laptop and bury your phone under something. Just stop for a second and acknowledge willed solitude. Acknowledge how it feels to not have people buzzing for attention from all angles at all times. Suspend yourself in the silence and focus your attention on things you routinely ignore. Or just ignore everything if it’s too much to handle at the moment, whichever feels better and makes more sense. Acknowledge your world and exist in it."

Hope it helped you :)

CHAINED

I can see them moving
Handsomely claded, shining
Their walk talked of confidence
Their moves of success
I am anguished at my state
Why I am suppressed by these heavy baits.?

I can foresee how it will feel there
To move forward, with nobody to care
I know this is the time
I should go ahead
But a wail hold me back
I turn to see two mouths
That are crying for food
They want to be fed
Then taken to the bed

But I had to leave them
It is time to fly
To escape from all the problems
To reach all highs
This will be the final jump
Now, I will lead the world

But alas! I fell with a thud
Blooded and terribly hurt
More than cuts, my crushed heart pain me
The chopping of my soul, my ambition, my dreams

How can I forget.?
Those two mouths were not the hurdle
But the whole world
Which had tied my feet
They refuse to leave the grip
With it, all my emotions and feelings

Now I lay here in quiet
Facing the sky, the dark night
Another one 'Chained'
And so, continues the fruitless fight..

I SAW, I LEARNT

People:

I was going for a trip
With some friends, on way to happy ends!
In the bus we started singing
Soon all of us started mingling
All new faces, All new buddies
But I never liked strangers, so I stayed far.
Soon the bus halted, for food we stopped
One after another for dinner we hopped
My leg slipped from a stair
I cried in anguish and despair
A girl came with a bandage
She washed my cut and wrapped it
I never knew her before, we just met in the bus
I realised, I was wrong, to make all that fuss
I never liked meeting strangers, to hangout with them

But 'I saw' her kindness, 'I learnt' keeping perceptions is bad..

Places:

It is the first institution to where we belong
Where we grew in knowledge, from short to long..
We learnt to mend our broken hearts
To wipe our friends' tears, keeping ours apart
We learnt the inventions of Galileo and Ramanujan
However interesting, bunking was still our profession!
We played pranks, we broke rules
Sometimes we were caught, sometimes we made their fool !
We dreamed of visiting world, from 'Kerala' to 'Rome'
But 'Our School' was definitely our second home..
We went with some dreams, and came out with some new ones..
But those '12 years' gave us memories to remember forever..

'I saw' fears, losses and disappointments; 'I learnt' to move on, to accept, to achieve all ends..

Situations:

Going for government work is a complete no-no,
But when my mom says I have to go
We went to MCD office to pay tax
But there was a huge line, no place to even breath..
I saw a group of people standing outside
I went there, a lady was seeing everywhere
She had lost her husband somewhere..
She looked perturbed, she was sweating..
He didn't had any cellphone, or any means of communication.
She was deeply moved, but was smiling
She was suffering, but was hiding.
She looked old, he was her only support
We searched him everywhere, he was gone.
At last we sat and waited for him to come.
But he didn't, we were stunned.
Suddenly, somebody called her name
She saw, her husband was standing at the gate.
We felt relieved, she smiled with tears
I was happy, she blessed me later..

'I saw' her tears, 'I learnt' there are emotions beyond words..
'I saw' her smiling, 'I learnt' there is no situation that can't be dealt with happy emotions
 :)

In all life taught me many things,
'I saw' good moments, bad moments.
Happy times, sad times..
Gloomy days, lovely life

But 'I learnt' that life tests us in many ways, but in the end our courage, our determination, our willpower succeeds all!!
Just keep smiling :)
